Our capabilities include product design, finite element anaylsis (FEA), and design detailing.  Using AutoCAD 2000 & Inventor/Mechanical Desktop, ANSYS DesignSpace for simulation analysis, Tekla Structure for modeling structural design, STAAD.Pro for steel, concrete, aluminum and cold-formed steel design, and PRO-BELT for the design of belt conveyors, feeders & pulley shafts.

Somerset Welding & Steel (SWS) was contracted by an oil and gas well fracturing company to develop more efficient bulk sand handling methods for their fracturing operations.

  • Trailer designed in AutoDesk Inventor, finite element analysis conducted with ANSIS
  • Features telescoping roofs for additional capacity, single point loading, and dual leveling augers
  • 89% increased loading efficiency compared to traditional sand trailers
  • 8% more capacity than traditional sand trailers
